On Thursday November 12, Caleb British Academy held its day of action for the green schools programme in conjunction with the Lagos ministry of environment with the theme “Preserving our green heritage.”
, is the first eco-school in Nigeria and offers to help other schools to set up the green school in their own school. The green school is comprised of three sub-groups namely: Litter and waste, Energy and Biodiversity.
The Programme featured a variety of presentations, drama, song, quiz on climate change for the invited schools and presentation of Awards.
The programme came to a close with the induction of the anti-litter police by the officials from the Lagos State Ministry of Environment. Anti-litter police is the initiative of the Litter and waste group.
