Naij.com’s Photojournalist Yinka Adeparusi Laid to Rest

The late award-winning photojournalist, Yinka Adeparusi was laid to rest in the Mowe area of Lagos and a foundation established in his name today, Saturday, Dec 3.

It would be recalled that Yinka, a staff of naij.com who covered political events, current affairs and features passed away after an accident in Abuja on Sunday, November 13.

The Yinka Adeparusi Foundation has been created to immortalize the late Yinka with focus on media industry, media institutes and family.

According to the committee, “the mission of the foundation will be to inspire young cinematographer, photojournalist, and journalist in achieving professionalism, creativity, and impacting lives through the power of the lens and pens.

“Yinka Adeparusi Foundation seeks to promote Yinka Ezekiel Adeparusi works in cinematography, Photojournalism and creative writing.”

“The foundation will set out each year to organise public lecture to be handled by seasoned media professionals. Topics of the lecture will be carefully selected by members of the foundation. There will also be periodic seminar/training in photojournalism, cinematography and new media for students while deserving students will be awarded scholarship.”
